How to Choose the Right Roller for Your Application
The right roller depends on the surface it runs on, the movement it needs to support and how it fits into your assembly. These five details help us narrow down a suitable design:
Track profile
Share the track cross-section or a photo with dimensions. The contact surface determines where the wheel should run and how it should be guided.
Wheel groove
A U-groove may suit a round guide or cable, while a V-groove needs a matching track. The groove width and depth must also fit the contact surface.
Wheel material
POM, nylon, PU and metal wheels offer different contact surfaces and levels of rigidity. We select the material according to the track, operating environment and design requirements.
Bearing protection
A rubber-sealed bearing (2RS) provides better protection against dust and moisture. A metal-shielded bearing (2Z) may suit a cleaner environment. Neither option makes the whole assembly waterproof.
Shaft and bracket
The shaft diameter, mounting holes, bracket shape and adjustment range must fit your equipment. If a standard wheel cannot be installed directly, we can review a custom assembly.
Send us your track drawing, wheel dimensions, operating conditions and estimated quantity. We can check an existing design or discuss an OEM solution.
